on thursday night i went out to JB HI FI and bought meself the first and second season of The Mighty Boosh and let me tell you something, they are OUTLANDISH!! amazing series! they are like nothing you've ever seen before in a TV series comedy (i'm being honest here, in films you have Gondry with this kind of stuff). weird mystical characters, great acting and hilarious as hell! the two lead characters are Vince Noir (Noel Fielding) and Howard Moon (Julian Barrett). people seems to go crazy over Noel a LOT. yes yes i like him, but i adore julian's hair mucho more hahaha my favorite episode out of the first season must be 'Jungle' because i LOVE the modwolves and modwlves' music, from the second season i might pick 'The Call Of The Yeti' because of the hippines they changed into (which is sooo friggin sweet) and 'The Legend Of Old Greg' because the character of Old Greg is simply EPIC!
Noel Fielding's girlfriend did few characters and cameo in the series, her name is Dee Plume who is the guitarist and singer of the band Robots In Disguise so did Sue Denim who is the bassist and singer. i went on the "trust worthy" internet and do a bit of a search and their music are so awesome, as awesome as the mermaids in the deep blue sea. the kind that is really great to dance around! i saw them in NYLON once, wanted to check them out but keep forgetting and now i finally had the time. i love their music, will probably go to some records store when i go to the city to check if they have their CDs here in sydney. but for now, check them out on their website or myspace or see their far out video clips in youtube. my favorite is 'Turn It Up'.
